The Dolphins

The dolphins (jetties) are in a very sad state. In 2003 they were in working order and used by fishing boats. Nowadays they have been fenced off and are gradually falling in to the river. There is nothing at all being done to save them by the Council but we hope that as a group we can at least try to improve them and in doing so improve the appearance of Riverside Road.

On the 'Dolphins Pictures' page  you can see the desperate state they are in. The last of the pictures is one taken in 2003 when they were a decent part of Riverside Road's character.

One of the pictures also shows what happens if we wait any longer...just black wood standing sentry by the river side.
